How to install VM on cloud

 

1. Get puttygen (download and install)
2. Generate a SSH public/private key with the PuttyGen (1)
3. Save/copy the public key (2)
4. Save private key on your computer (3)

5. Enter OpenNebula here or here
6. Type your username and password
7. Click on your email address (1)

8. Click on Settings (2)
9. Update SSH Key (3)
10. Enter the public key generated by PuttyGen (4)
11. Update SSH Key (5)

10. Create the VM (1-2)

11. After the machine is in RUNNING state you can connect to it via putty

12. Open Putty
13. Under "Session" - enter the IP address from the VM (1-2)

14. Under "Connection" - "SSH" - "AUTH" - there BROWSE for the private key (1-2-3-4)
15. Open (5)

16. Using passwd you can create your password for root or any other user
17. Open with an editor /etc/ssh/sshd_config
18. edit:
PermitRootLogin yes
PasswordAuthentication yes

19. Save and exit
20. # service sshd restart
21. Login via putty with user and password
